FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • My item is damaged. What should I do?
    All merchandise leaving our store is inspected and in good condition. If a damaged shipment arrives at your location, ask the driver to notate the damage before you sign for the shipment. You as a customer always have the right to refuse a shipment due to damage, and the carrier will return it to us. Product(s) damaged or shorted in transit (i.e. UPS, USPS, Freight…); require the receiving customer to notify the Transport Company and Schmidt Machine Company immediately. Receiving agent must show “in writing” any package received damaged or short, and file claim within twenty-four hours. Package should be left as was received in the event that a freight company representative is dispatched to inspect damage. After said inspection a claim number will be assigned, at which point Schmidt Machine Company will ship replacement good(s) if necessary.
  • What payment methods did you accept?
    You can pay for your order with credit card, check, or cash. There is a $35.00 service charge for all returned check and 3% fee for all credit card purchases. Canadian customers can pay in US dollars with a credit card or check.
  • What is your return policy?
    MERCHANDISE RETURNS: Permission must be obtained before any merchandise can be returned for any reason. Contact Jessica Culley ext. 110 to obtain a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number. The RGA number and a copy of your original invoice must be included in your return package for credit to be issued. Credit will be issued based on inspection of the condition of the returned merchandise. On dealer terminations, there will be a 25% restocking fee. The customer assumes liability for freight when returning merchandise ordered in error. Returned merchandise must be shipped with all transportation charges prepaid. Merchandise returned C.O.D. will be refused. We will issue call tags for defective merchandise or merchandise sent in error.
  • What is an FAQ section?
    An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about your business like "Where do you ship to?", "What are your opening hours?", or "How can I book a service?".
  • Do you ship internationally?
    We are happy to ship your quality parts worldwide. Please call us at 419-294-3814 with your order and we will provide you with shipping options and a freight quote.
  • Will there be a restocking charge?
    RESTOCKING FEES: The customer has 15 days from the day of receipt to return merchandise for complete refund or credit. After this time, a restocking fee is applied. After 15 days – 10% restocking fee o After 30 days – 15% restocking fee o After 60 days – 50% restocking fee o No returns after 90 days
  • What is your shipping policy?
    UPS will be used as the carrier in most instances. Exceptions are those items that exceed 70 lbs. per piece or are more than 108" in length and girth combined. These exception items will be shipped by commercial truck freight prepaid. Call 419-294-3814 for charges. Expedited Shipping UPS Next Day and 2nd Day Air services are available on request. Call 419-294-3814 for charges. Shipping Policy Outside the Continental US Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Canada will be charged for parts only at the time of ordering. Customer will be contacted prior to shipment with a freight quote. Freight charges will be added and the order released only after Schmidt Machine Company receives customer's approval. All prices quoted for products and freight will be in U.S. Dollars (USD). Shipping methods and times depend upon destination. Customer is responsible for all import duties and taxes incurred after order leaves USA (contact your local customs office for information on such charges).
